Tennis fans (including me) went crazy after seeing the Olympics draw this Thursday. This dream matchup between No. 1 seed Novak Djokovic and longtime rival Rafael Nadal looks not too far away, with the two players looking set to meet in the second round of the Paris Olympics. If this were to occur, the match would be the 60th time the two legends faced off, with Djokovic narrowly leading the head-to-head 30-29.

Djokovic is to face Australias Matthew Ebden to kick off his Olympics campaign. The Serb, who holds pretty much every record in the book will look to claim one of the few honors that have eluded him, the Olympic Gold Medal.

Nadal will have to overcome Hungary’s Marton Fuscovics in order to move on to the second round. The match will be a first as the two have never faced each other on the ATP Tour. The 22 time Grand Slam titleist will also play doubles with his Spanish compatriot, Carlos Alcaraz, looking to repeat what he achieved in 2008 and claim the Olympic Gold.

Andy Murray, another one of tennis’s greats has said that the Olympics will be his last ever tournament. He withdrew from singles, meaning that the last singles match of his career was against Australia’s Jordan Thompson at the Queens Club Championships. The Brit will play alongside Dan Evans in the last tournament of his career, making for an emotional day in the tennis world.
