Andy Murray was forced to retire with a back injury against Australia's Jordan Thompson in the Round of 16 of the Queens Club Championship. This was a sad finish to what is likely to be his last appearance at Queens, a tournament that he has won a record 5 times.
Murray was coming off of a hard-fought win against Alexei Popyrin in which he was seen limping during the warmup. That win was his 1000th match on the ATP Tour, adding him to a select list with the likes of Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal.

The former World No. 1 has said that he plans to end his illustrious career later this year. With Wimbledon just around the corner, starting on July 1st, everyone will be hoping that his back injury will not affect his plan for an emotional goodbye in front of the British crowd.
The Brit is planning on a doubles appearance with his brother Jamie. The two brothers have played with each other a few times, most noticeably the 2015 Davis Cup, but never at Wimbledon. This could be their first and last time sharing the court at SW19.
